Fleetwood Mac’s Kiwi connection

Kiwi audiences will get the chance to see Neil Finn in Fleetwood Mac later this year, with the rock legends announcing three live dates for September.

The band will play two shows at Auckland’s Spark Arena on September 16 and 19, along with one at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin on September 21.

Lorde helps music charity

The New Zealand Music Foundation has been rebranded MusicHelps – and has landed a major new patron in Lorde.

Formed five years ago, the not-for-profit organisation supports and develops projects that use music to change the lives of those who are at-risk, vulnerable or experiencing serious health challenges. It also provides medical treatment and counselling to music people experiencing illness, distress and hardship.

First ‘Lightsleeper’ video

Neil and Liam Finn have confirmed details of their first ever album together Lightsleeper, which is due out on August 24.

The father and son duo showcased some of the songs from the record during their extensive tour of small venues earlier this year but now have shared the first single from the album ‘Back To Life’, along with a short promo clip.
