Songhub 2019 takes shape

Hitmakers from the UK and the US will host the first Songhub of the year in Auckland.

Applications are now open for the APRA AMCOS initiative which is in its third year and will be held once again at Roundhead Studio March 4-9

Curated by leading producer Greg Haver, the three international guest songwriters are London-based Justin Parker (pictured) and three US songwriters from LA – Ilsey Juber, Nate Campany and Maize Olinger.

SongHub Sphere for August

APRA AMCOS has confirmed details of its first female-focused SongHub event, which will be curated by Chelsea Jade.

As first revealed in NZ Music Business, SongHub Sphere will be aimed specifically at women songwriters and producers, and will feature a starry line-up of international guests. Applications are now open for local artists wishing to take part in the event, which will run August 6-11 at Auckland’s Roundhead Studios.

Watercolours is the moniker for Chelsea Jade Metcalf, who released her debut EP Portals on Universal Music in November.

Recorded at Red Bull Studios by Jeremy Toy (She’s So Rad, Opensouls) and Ben Lawson, Portals was mixed at London’s Artillery Studios with Justyn Pilbrow (Elemeno P) and includes the single ‘Pazzida’ which made the long-list for last year’s Silver Scroll Awards.
