Six60 show a sell out

in News by

Six60 have become the first New Zealand band to sell out Western Springs Stadium.

The Kiwi superstars will play the iconic Auckland outdoor arena on February 23 and the audience of 50,000 will make it the biggest ever headline show put on by a local act.

SIX60 frontman Matiu Walters says the decision to play Western Springs came out of the band wanting to change things up from previous concerts.

“With the tour last year selling out, and Villa Maria selling out so quickly, the fans really forced us to ask what’s next,” he continues. “The idea of 50,000 Kiwis together creating such a historical moment just felt like it had to happen. It’s gonna be an honour for me to be part of the 50,000 and that we can say we sold out Western Springs.”

Six60 will be supported at Western Springs by Drax Project (below), Sons of Zion, SWIDT and IllBaz, and it will be their only New Zealand show of the coming Summer.
