in News by

Shihad is hitting the road in October to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

At the same time, the iconic Kiwi hard rock band has also announced the reissue of their 1999 classic The General Electric, with the record being made available on vinyl for the very first time.

The 30th anniversary tour from Shihad follows on from frontman Jon Toogood’s short tour with The Adults, which kicks off next week.

The remastered vinyl edition of their # hit The General Electric will be released on October 12 and will be available in red and white vinyl in a gatefold sleeve.

Kora will join Shihad for some of the dates, with other support acts still to be confirmed. Ticket pre-sales begin on Tuesday (August 28): October 19: The Foundry, Christchurch; October 20: Shed 6, Wellington; October 21: The Mayfair, New Plymouth; October 25: Claudelands Arena, Hamilton (with Kora); October 26: Town Hall Auckland (with Kora); October 27: Brewers Indoor Arena, Mt Maunganui (with Kora).
