Jackson Owens shares new video

in Industry by

Rising Kiwi pop/R&B star Jackson Owens secured an A-list production team for the video for his latest single ‘Selfish’.

The clip was made by Taktix Films, whose credits include Justin Bieber’s video for ‘Sorry’, which has racked up more than three billion views on YouTube, and Ciara’s smash ‘Level Up’. Directed by Jared Leith, the video was shot in Auckland’s CBD and at the iconic Piha Beach.

According to Owens, ‘Selfish’ – which was produced by Alex Wildwood –is about is all about expressing a love for that someone special. “That person who you can’t get off your mind,” he adds. It’s a longing and a selfish desire to have that person all to yourself. You want them to throw caution to the wind come along for the ride.”

Formerly in the US-based boy band Far Young, Owen launched his solo career earlier this year and is currently on tour with Stan Walker.
