Copyright review workshops

in Industry by

Places are still available for a series of public workshops being held by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Enterprise for the upcoming review of the Copyright Act.

One of the Auckland events is now fully subscribed but a second workshop is still open, as are the ones in Wellington and Christchurch.

The aim of the roadshow is for officials to get a better understanding of how the current copyright regime is working and identify what people would most like addressed in the reform of copyright legislation

The music industry has already set out its key priorities for the review, although the Government looks to have ruled out one of those, an extension of the current term copyright terms.

The workshops still open at the following MBIE offices: February 12: Christchurch, 161 Cashel Streeet, 12:00-4:30pm; February 21: Auckland, 139 Quay Street 11:00am-3:30pm; March 1: Wellington, 15 Stout Street, 12:00-4:30pm. Click here to register.
