Albi signs Second Hand deal

in Industry by

Albi and The Wolves have become the second signing to new folk label Second Hand Records.

The trio, which earlier won Best Folk Album for their debut LP Eyes Wide Open at the 2017 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards, have just released a new single ‘It Ain’t Easy’ and a new album is expected to be released over the Summer period.

Second Hand Records owner Finn McLennan-Elliot is looking forward to help the band spearhead the next chapter in their career.

Finn McLennan-Elliot

“Second Hand Records is about community, about pushing the best of folk music in New Zealand to the world,” he adds.

“At its core, it is about relationships – Albi and the Wolves have personified this in all the years we have known them. They give their time to projects they admire and love, and they are the first to support a new artist. Years of hard work are paying off and what they are writing now is the best we’ve heard from them yet!”

Albi and The Wolves – Chris Dent, Pascal Roggen and Michael Young – are currently in the midst of a New Zealand tour, with upcoming shows in the South and Central North Island on the near horizon.
